Addison Ryan“this book. I laughed, I cried. The characters were so outrageous, so real. It’s a book I will re-read forever and always. A dark comedy about the unraveling of the Flynn family, a small community’s entanglement with one another.”

Ginny Branch“One of my favorites of 2026! I bought purely based on the cover not knowing anything about the plot or hype but this was another page-turner! The writing is so quirky and it reminded me of Virgin Suicides meets All Fours and then there’s a huge plot twist that is very timely in today’s news cycle in America…”

Breidholt“An amazing debut. Funny, human and then... pulse pounding?!”
Whit“I can’t imagine the complex mind that this author has to create such a wild ride. I am sad to finish the last chapter!”
Sam“A family drama, mystery, and quirky character study all in one. It follows the Flynn family, whose open marriage is unraveling as their three daughters spiral into their own chaotic subplots, one of which pulls the whole family into an actual conspiracy. It’s funny and strange and tender and left me wanting more.”
Jennifer Cook“wonderfully wacky and oddly heartwarming”
Belem“A great summer Wes Anderson vibes type book.”
Terrah“Blown away by this debut novel… cannot wait to see what Madeline Cash writes next… An author to watch for sure”

Cait“First 5 star read of the year!”
Madison Blake“I genuinely loved this book so so much from cover to cover. It’s so funny, and the characters are so weird in a way that feels like it could be true. The story gets bigger and bigger and plot wise, reminded me of reading Series of Unfortunate Events or something like that. I’m very impressed with how Madeline writes about important, dark, critically timely issues without being annoying, heavy or even too cynical. There’s so much irony throughout and I just really enjoyed it.”
