“finally finished the series everyone has been recommending me my entire life this year (thanks to my boyfriend's prodding) after getting through season 1 last year and loving it and thank god i did because it's now also one of my favorite works of art ever made and fire walk with me and the return in particular kind of altered my brain chemistry. not much to say that millions of people much smarter than me haven't already said for 30 years but i'm just really thankful this exists - laura's story, especially - and it's inspired me artistically more than anything else has in a long time. one of the greatest depictions of the futility of trying to "fix the past" as well, arguing instead for facing the future fearlessly to remain free of the cycle of suffering we're prone to trapping ourselves in.
