“From the album Double Natural (Bedroom Suck, 2012)
The '00s and early '10s were an exciting time in Australian music, especially in Melbourne. So many good bands were releasing great albums, then they'd form a side project and release something special. Such was the case with Boomgates: a short-lived and shockingly good band that featured members of Eddy Current Suppression Ring, Twerps and Dick Diver. This song has such a fun, quicksilver punch to it that really captures the creative energy and straight up good vibes that existed in the city around that time.”
