Rec’d a Real Estate song the other day and it sent me down a Real Estate + Real Estate side project rabbit hole. One my fave fave RE side projects (see also: Alex Bleeker, Ducktails) is the music of Julian Lynch, particularly this strange and beautiful 2011 album. Woozy liminal pop with moments of gorgeous clarity, I reckon it’s one of the more overlooked albums of that 2010ish era. Lynch’s other albums are also with a listen, Mare being my other favourite.”
