There is no better scent than Ojai in the spring, when the orange trees blossom and fill the entire east end with sweet citrus perfume. Ojai is my California home. At one point, my grandmother, mom, and brother all lived there within a few minutes of each other, so I practically lived there when I didn't need to be in LA for work. A lot of people complain about how much it's changed post-covid, and I understand why they're upset, but it's also getting better in certain ways too. The restaurants and hotels are so much better than they used to be. And at the end of the day, Ojai is Ojai. It will always attract new people looking to slow down and re-invent themselves. It will always be special in my book.
