Rory's Place

Someone once described Rory’s Place as one of the best restaurants in Los Angeles, even though it's 80 miles away in Ojai. I can’t remember who said it, but I can see why. Rory's Place is the more grown-up sister to Rory’s Other Place next door (my rec for that here). They focus on live-fire cooking and seasonal California ingredients, and it is just so, so good. And it's worth following them on IG to see upcoming chef collabs, which are always interesting. Must book this one in advance. You might even need to plan your whole trip around this reservation.
