Get off the track from France's big cities, and head off to visit a small & charming village : there's the "Most Beautiful Villages of France" label that list them all and it really delivers! I personally love these ones in South West : Aubeterre sur Dronne, Ainhoa, Ars en Ré, Castelnaud la Chapelle, La Roque Gageac, Mornac Sur Seudre, Talmont. You're welcome !

In any city, whether traveling or at home: take a route through a public park and stop for a few minutes to admire the plants (thanks to the city gardeners), the animals, and the people.

The Flow Vélo : Cognac / Saintes, cycle route along the Charente River

A bike ride along the Charente river : it’s flat, quiet, pastoral, and friendly. Grab a picnic blanket, something to eat, and a good book: take a break by the water. The Flow velo bike ride is around 400 km from Dordogne to the Atlantic coast, but my favorite part will be around Cognac city.
