Loam Prebiotic Fibre

Echoing all the fibre evangelizing and adding that I take a scoop of this every day just to get even more of a boost. Developed by a gastrointestinal surgeon it dissolves to be totally undetectable which I can’t say for any other fibre supplement I’ve tried. Love it.

The Bean Protocol with Unique Hammond
•••
Nutritionist and legume-evangelist Unique Hammond is legit. When I first heard about the Bean Protocol, I thought it sounded truly insane. Then I tried it for 5 months and I healed some big decades-old gut issues that neither MDs nor naturopaths were able to make a dent in. Her personal history is pretty wild—debilitating Crohn’s disease put into remission through diet. Food is amazing!

Julie Duffy Dillon
•••
Julie Duffy Dillon has tons of amazing resources for PCOS and insulin resistance on her Substack and in the archives of her podcast, Find Your Food Voice. Her top tips that I've incorporated into my own life: Intuitive eating/making sure you're getting enough food. Dieting/restriction stresses your body out more. Supplements with a ton of data behind them for PCOS: Inositol (I take Theralogix Ovasitol twice a day), omega 3s, vitamin D. Lower chronic inflammation not through diets/supplements, but through stress reduction. For me, this has looked like focusing on higher-quality sleep, less screen time, mental health treatment, and movement I enjoy. Good luck! PCOS is very annoying.

Chia seed pudding
•••
I aim for 30 or more grams of fiber a day and chia seed pudding helps. This recipe is great but if I’m feeling lazy, I literally just mix 2-3 tablespoons of chia seeds in a cup of fancy yogurt.
