I’ve bought nearly all my shoes at Abbadabba’s for the last like 15 years. Wild. They just have great stuff, high quality, interesting, well made. They have great service. Online shoe shopping is so overwhelming and a crapshoot and it’s nice to go to a place where you can just pick from the great options they have.

You don’t have to measure

Ok take this with a grain of salt because I’ve made exactly one quilt (at topstitch studio in Decatur, shout out!) but my teacher showed me how to make a quilt without measuring, just piecing stitching pressing and then cutting to fit. It was so liberating and fun. I’m gna keep quilting and do some where measuring is helpful but it was a big mental break thru for me.

This place is just unreal. In a kinda small slightly dingy space they have packed every enticing form of alcohol your bougie little heart could desire. Amazing like truly amazing wines. A shit ton of vermouth. A shit ton of mezcal. Everything. It’s really quite impressive.

Just….always hits. They always have something new and interesting on the menu, their flavor and texture combinations are genius, but nothing is fussy it’s all just good ass food. Drinks are bomb. The vibe is excellent, laid back but special and a little sexy. So many restaurants in Atlanta are just so expensive and a whole production but the food doesn’t deliver. BL is worth it.

3 Parks Wine Shop

Really lovely Black owned wine shop. You cannot get a bad bottle in there. They have affordable and fun and casual tastings and events all the time, I always have the best time there, the vibes are incredible. Everyone who works there is friendly and has great recs. And the wine is so so good.

Gem of a museum on Emory’s campus. Always see something beautiful and come away with so much inspiration. Sadly their legendary bookstore closed this past year.
