Dream Big (Live with the National Symphony Orchestra)
•••
My favorite Irish Band ❤️ SODA BLONDE ❤️ I first discovered the group during their first project “Little Green Cars” back in 2016. I felt in awe of their Irish coolness and indie edge. The lead singer, Faye, had one of the most incredible voices I had ever heard — and still does. I had the chance to see them last week, 10 years later, and it was perfection. This album is live with an orchestra (you can find YouTube videos too) and I think it is one of the most beautiful pieces of work I have heard in some time. I have it on vinyl and it’s perfect. Faye is a badass and is super politically outspoken and makes music that feels real to her outlook on life. Enjoy!!!

Mabe Fratti

One of the most underrated artists out there. I am very much into strange instrumentals with lots of space and lots of strings. Maybe you have heard her on Dev Hynes most recent album?!

A Sound Map of the Pacific Crest Trail (2023)
•••
Just wow. I have been taking my mic out on the trail now trying to capture moments that maybe I’ll travel back to one day. Tom Kelly took this concept a step further and created an interactive map with moments from his PCT thru hike. Some really cool stuff 🧡 a good reminder that you can listen to stuff other than musiccccccccc or podcasts hehe Read the full story here: https://www.bloomlinecollective.com/stories/tomkelly?utm_source=ig&utm_medium=social&utm_content=link_in_bio&fbclid=PAdGRleAUjepVleHRuA2FlbQIxMQBwZG9mAmZkaWQWUPEfRwFYYq5uHyASsdCfS62za4GMZXNydGMGYXBwX2lkDzEyNDAyNDU3NDI4NzQxNAABp2dnYfTpR4RvfUFYGt-f3co-0YJTwK6PzSU8YNTE8Gr1gPFBFBBANEtyHU-3_aem_T65mWCv1kWqhskuW_GnDzQ

Alexey Seliverstov: Bionic birdsong
•••
Alexey is a really cool character. I would rec checking him out on IG as well: https://www.instagram.com/grayskiesforever/ Regan Morris follows Alexey’s creative process from recording the dawn chorus in the Santa Monica mountains, through the ingenious transformations of the field recordings to the finished multi-channel and multi-sensory installation for the Shelemay Sound Lab at Harvard University :) Enjoy!

Sona Sound Studio CDMX
•••
If you are ever in CDMX and want a break from all the noise, my friend opened an amazing sound studio called Sona. The space is brilliantly designed and has amazing Japanese tea. Lots of books + a monthly art exhibit, too! The idea is that you enter the sound studio and get comfy while an album plays from start to finish! They offer blankets and eyes masks to make it comfy :)
