Up out of the Napa Valley itself but definitely worth the extra drive. The oldest family owned winery in the region if I’m not mistaken. Bring your own picnic, taste some great wine and then buy some to have with said picnic. It’s a gorgeous, down to earth spot in an otherwise pretty over-the-top area.

We loved this spot when we lived in Sac. It opens nice and early which we enjoyed for the 4pm desire to have a glass of wine and bring our toddler along.

A look at the ingredients might incorrectly tell you this is a pretty run-of-the-mill minestrone. But it’s not, it’s the best and when I make it for friends they often exclaim, EXCLAIM of it’s deliciousness.

Had a wonderful meal here a couple of years back (fingers crossed it’s still as stellar as it was). Nothing missed, really warm service too. The photos make it look a little folksy/crunchy but it’s really top notch and refined food.

Uses thinly sliced zucchinis and some get seriously caramelized in the pan-frying process. You also get rid of a ton of them since they cook down so tremendously!
