Paris Indoor Walk : visit the Galeries et passages couverts parisiens: It's raining or/and you want to feel back in 19th century, plan a walk that will go through as much "passage couvert" you can - a lot of them are in the 2nd arrondissement.

My favorites : passage du Grand Cerf (for shopping), galerie Vivienne (to be amazed), passage des panoramas (to eat) and Passage Colbert (a secret one, great to relax)

Paris neighborhood from a parisian: If you want to find the nice neighborhood in Pari, i'm your guide (i'm from Paris).

Of course if you want to visit the beautiful/very touristic (in red on the map) :

16e, 8e, 7e, 6e, 5e, 3e, 2e and 1er arrondissement (districts)

So you can see, Le Sacré coeur, Eiffel Tower, but also every garden (jardin du Luxembourg, Jardin des plantes, Jardin des Tuilleries), Les Champs Elysées, Arc de Triomphe, L'Opéra Garnier, Le Louvre, Notre Dame de Paris etc...

Just be careful, their is a lot of people and also a lot of picpocket and scammer (don't try any bracelet if their are handed to you or sign anything it's just a scam).

If you want to go where the french/parisian/suburbanite like me go try those districts (in blue on the map) :

10e, 11e, 12e, 13e, 18e, 19e and 20e : There is not a lot of monument even if the streets are always beautiful it will be way different than the others districts (way more pollutate and noisy but real). There are very cool restaurant and cafe and bars ! i will give you some you can try (but it's expensive, it's always expensive here).

If you want to visit out of Paris, try Montreuil/Vincennes it's cool and there is Le Bois de Vincennes very cool and calm out of the city !

Palacio do Grilo in Lisbon: Dinner service is impeccable. Oddly… affordable. Performance art, candlelit everything, fancy drinks on couches, wandering through rooms that feel like you’ve accidentally been invited into some aristocrat’s weird dream. This place is magic. Once-in-a-lifetime magical vibes. I was blown away. Just going to the bathroom made me feel like a queen.

Corner Maps App: I used to use Google Maps lists for everything but this may have just replaced it. I love that you can import your Google Maps Lists and other things so you’re not starting from scratch. Also the recommendations seem to be pretty on point. I will totally be using this every time I travel now. Especially when going to a bigger city I’ve never been to. It can be overwhelming but this seems to help narrow things down.

Oficio in Lisbon: One of the best meals in Lisbon. The food is delightful and surprising and the dining room is relaxed. Be a little adventurous in what your order to eat and drink whatever the Sommelier suggests! We went and had an amazing meal that I still think about.

The Cambridge Public House in Paris: Not England-themed and not a pub, but a spectacular cocktail bar in Paris. The cocktail list is bonkers-good and there are no bad choices. The bartenders are kind, engaging, and happy to help guide you to the right decision without being pushy. A local told me about this place. I was skeptical and am so glad I was wrong.

Tejo Bar: This place is very cool!! It was definitely a highlight of my trip to Lisbon. This isn't exactly a Fado bar, but it's a great place to see live music (including some Fado). I don't know if it's exactly a "locals" sort of place (we were there as well as many other tourists), but it's a lovely, intimate venue and we were surrounded by folks who turned out to be some of the performers. The music starts LATE so I would recommend going once you are over the worst of your jet lag. My only regret about this experience is that I left before it was over and missed what I'm sure were some great performances.

My personal Paris map: Bistrot Paul Bert is my favorite restaurant, it’s classic French and very popular so make sure you make a reservation. Septime du Cave is the coziest, most delicious wine bar. Hippie Market has great vintage and it’s affordable. And City Pharma for French skincare.

Landeau Chocolate Cake at LX Factory in Lisbon: The place has literally only one thing to eat on the menu——the best chocolate cake/torte in the world. It is incredible and also rich enough that we split one between the two of us, which we slowly savoured with our iced coffees. The whole LX Factory site is worth a visit, really cool use of an old industrial site.

Also, 100% recommend a day trip to Sintra. You can get the train, but if you’re traveling with others, it could be cheaper and easier to get a taxi (we used Bolt and Uber around lisbon).

Finally, Castro makes the best natas (please eat one every day for me, warm with a little bit of cinnamon on top).
