I can't remember where these first caught my eye, but they're among the leggy plants with droopy flowers that just tickle me. sometimes if I look at too many they remind me of barnacles (in a bad way).

Peonies

I am in awe of peonies. they're so ample and plush. I want to curl up inside one. getting them while they're closed and watching them unfurl over a day or two is a treat.

Dogwood Tree

the Virginia State Tree! and Virginia State Flower I think? I love them. Simple, beautiful. Delicate, too.

Lilac branch

I always thought lilacs were too fragile to bring into your home, but they're actually some of the most resilient if you prepare them properly. When you cut off a branch, prune the leaves so that just the flowers remain (notice the varied shades of purple even in one branch!), and those sturdy branches will last a long time in water, preserving their exquisite little flowers.
