Toddler Essentials: using dandelion stems as a bubble blower (hollow on inside) mud pies and witches brews nature walks with a magnifying glass and a basket or a mini fishing vest with lots of pockets puddle jumping pressing flowers in spring and summer, dipping leaves in beeswax in the fall homemade play dough and moon sand and oobleck and slime.
