I worked here for years and it holds a special place in my heart. A cozy buy and sell record shop in the Carroll Gardens neighborhood. Unmatched vibes and obscure finds. It also has great coffee that is an original blend and roasted locally (their cold brew is still one of my favorites). AND a selection of antiques! You can even order their coffee online if you'd like to give it a try but can't make it to the shop. The hand stamped bag will look cute in your cupboard.

I work in Morningside Heights and this is my go-to lunch spot. A little out of the way of the Columbia hustle and bustle. Imagine if a bodega deli counter also had a cozy little dining room area. There is a sun-faded photorealistic mural of a fancy garden in it that I adore. If it's a nice day you could take your lunch to nearby peaceful Sakura Park for a picnic.

I LOVE a fountain. Bonus points if it includes sea nymphs/monsters (which Bailey does). This has served as a good centrally located meet up place with pals that live on the other side of the park, or as a place to just hang out. Lots of shady spots to sit.
