I saw this over the weekend with my boyfriend for our anniversary and it was such a great film about coming of age, rediscovering passion, addiction, honesty, and personal growth. I am a personal believer that everyone should watch Anthony Bourdain's shows, and this is an amazing companion to his work And to have it set in my state is very cool

i recently started at a new office and all the interns were going out to lunch and they invited me and it was so much fun, we got fried chicken and all 9 of us sat in little booths and ate lunch at this place we had never been and it was so fun and felt very bonding

rest in peace to one of the most iconic women of our time she taught millions of people how to read, advocated on behalf of women and children, gave out scholarships to the entire graduating class of her hometown high school, collected money for those who lost their homes to wildfires, was an avid outspoken advocate for LGBT people notably the trans community, funded covid 19 research and so much more. She is the epitome of leave the world better than you found it. Thank you Mrs. Parton, enjoy your rest January 19, 1946 – August 25, 2026

expose your grandparents to cool hip city spots so they can also feel cool and hip!! My boyfriend and I brought my grandparents to Parla in Boston's north end (our all time favorite restaurant) and my grandparents said it made them feel young again <3 Call your grandma!!!

I Who Have Never Known Men

A beautiful philosophical read about a woman, a strange planet, and the duality of people. Thirty-nine women and a girl are being held prisoner in a cage underground. The guards are all male, and never speak to them. The girl is the only one of the prisoners who has no memory of the outside world; none of them know why they are being held prisoner, or why there is one child among thirty-nine adults. One day, an alarm sounds, and the guards flee; the prisoners are subsequently able to escape. They find themselves on an immense barren plain, with no other people anywhere, and no clue as to what has happened to the world. Jacqueline Harpman was a Jewish woman who fled Belgium and went to Casablanca during the Nazi occupation and visuals and trauma of her experience is littered through the book with the descriptions of the guards that watch the women and the trauma that follows their escape. This book brings incredible visuals and gives away none of its secrets. It is a story that will stick in your mind, and much like the main character, will make you desperate for answers that will never come.
