“I understand the appeal of Café du Monde at the French Market, but it’s full of tourists, it’s chaotic, it’s crazy packed. I raise you Café du Monde in City Park. Order to go, and enjoy them sitting under the Singing Oak, a beautiful old endemic tree strung with wind chimes. Walk through the park or visit the New Orleans Museum of Art afterward (or before). Plan according to the weather: morning/evening or sunrise/sunset.”
