Beignets at the Singing Oak in City Park
Recommended by MaribethI understand the appeal of Café du Monde at the French Market, but it’s full of tourists, it’s chaotic, it’s crazy packed. I raise you Café du Monde in City Park. Order to go, and enjoy them sitting under the Singing Oak, a beautiful old endemic tree strung with wind chimes. Walk through the park or visit the New Orleans Museum of Art afterward (or before). Plan according to the weather: morning/evening or sunrise/sunset.
