Santa Barbara Sea Urchin

“A very decadent experience. Uni from Japan is phenomenal, but I would recommend supporting the efforts of those diving for it in Santa Barbara. Like this very impressive person (linked below). I was commissioned to create a mural for the Global Climate Action Conference in SF in 2018. My work had to past the muster of world-class climate scientists. I learned all about how sea urchins are completely overwhelming the coastal waters. The warming waters due to climate change created mass die offs of the starfish which is the sea urchins main predator. This has caused the sea urchins to devastate the kelp forests. So order more sea urchin with abandon when you can and support the divers who are trying to cull these bad boys from our ocean floor.”
