“One of the Library of Congress’s most popular public domain photos was a 1936 photo of a cat dressed as Brunnhilde, and in early 2023 they took to their social media to announce that a second photo from another angle had been digitized of the same patient model, and I promptly lost my mind with joy. I got high quality prints made and now a diptych of Brunnhilde is in pride of place on my living room wall and is some of the best art I own. Just look at her FACE!”
