Proper Cloth Napkins

“There's something about using a cloth napkin that elevates a meal regardless of how humble the actual menu might be. Try it - even a piece of toast is a bit more of an occasion when there's a gently rumpled navy napkin next to the plate. I love to switch in different colors or patterns depending on the season - a soft blue chambray in the summer, perhaps a bold plaid for Thanksgiving. Right now this hem-stitched version in cotton percale is catching my eye for its heritage detail and time-softened appeal.”

“This! Makes us feel fancy! And yeah you gotta wash em but that’s okay!”
