There is also the excitement of romantic love that plays a part in this show, and the complicated aspects of love within a painful family system, BUT one could say that the characters being in a place to find romance or the strength to persist through difficult family situations is made possible by the support and stability provided by their loving and caring friendships. It's one of my favorite things I've watched in recent years for that reason.”
