“Studio Ghibli was introduced to me by the Gen Z youths (and some cuspy Millennials) on set and My Neighbor Totoro is the perfect gateway drug to Miyazaki’s world. I did not grow up a fan of anime but the background artwork in these films alone are so incredible. This particular film is so sweet and the one I would choose to watch over-and-over of all the films! My daughter loves it so much she did a Google Slides presentation on it for school!”

“More than anything, this movie will always remind me of my kids. The way children can turn a weird old house, a patch of trees or a rainy afternoon into an entire universe. The way they believe in things so completely before the world teaches them not to. Watching it gives me a glimpse back into that part of childhood where everything feels magical and mysterious. It’s such a cozy and peaceful movie as is everything by Studio Ghibli.”
