“A beautifully animated film based on a manga of the same name by Robin Nishi. SPOILERS: A NEET reunites with the childhood crush but is shot through the ass by a yakuza. In passing to the afterlife, he’s taunted by God, who ultimately is distracted by getting ready for a date. Nishi takes the chance to run back into the realm of the living. After his revival, Nishi drives his crush, her sister, and himself into oblivion as the yakuza chase them down by car. They end up living in the mouth of a whale. Terribly funny and made me appreciate my life living outside a whale.”
