It's Complicated

“It's hard not to put every Nancy Meyers movie on here for interiors alone, but It's Complicated is a non-negotiable because it's got one of cinema's best-ever kitchens AND Meryl Streep. Even though I can't stand Alec Baldwin, she makes up for it.”

“Its complicated came out in 2009 and since the moment I watched it, the family home cemented a special place in my heart. Jon Hutman, the designer, did such a fabulous job at creating a space that feels both lived in yet peaceful and entirely delicious. And it wasn’t even just the home, because the outdoors and the bakery were to die for as well. Interestingly, “California coastal” is not even my favorite interiors aesthetic, but there’s something about the feeling that the house left me with that has never left my side.”

“Nancy Meyer is a legend for so many reasons - iconic actresses in roles they perfectly embody, stunning locations, witty dialogue. It's nearly impossible to choose a favorite of the homes her characters live in, but I think my favorite is Meryl Streep's Santa Barbara Spanish Colonial from It's Complicated. Perfect layout, amazing indoor/outdoor living, and a casual ease that's both rustic and elegant. It welcomes the viewer in and invites you to stay awhile. 5 stars.”
