    “A funeral is never convenient but if it is anything less than absolutely arduous, show up for at least part of it — family visitation, the service or the after-service luncheon/repast, or the shiva house. It’s literally one of the kindest things you can do for a person to show up and I wish I didn’t know this, but when someone makes an effort to be there, it is so comforting.”
