Google Maps Lists

“When I move (or travel) I comb through Google Maps and save any and all places that look interesting. I maintain these once I’m settled too, but I find it comforting to have a few touch points saved before I’ve even explored in person. This also cuts through the feeling of being unmoored I sometimes have when in a new place with no established routines—it’s a literal map of things to do and see. Which then becomes exciting instead of intimidating. I keep lists for different interests (doctors offices, design destinations, coffee, etc) and then when I want to venture out or need to quickly navigate somewhere, I have it mapped and don’t need to hunt anything down.”
