“A brilliant and challenging novel that reflects upon language, genius, art, and fathers. Apparently this book fell out of print for a while due to some conflict w the publisher, which only adds to its mystique. You get the sense that De Witt was uncompromising - as evidenced by lengthy sections in ancient greek - but it’s worth it in the end. Plot is kind of like if Mamma Mia were dead serious. Oh and this is unrelated to the tom cruise movie.”
