“I think this might be the third-party app I’ve had on my phone the longest. I usually have my phone in silent mode but also don’t always feel it buzz when a notification goes off. So, for certain things, I don’t want it to just buzz once and then figure its job is done—if I don’t pull out the phone and deal with it, I want it to try again until I do. Due does that, with configurable settings for how often and how many times I want it to buzz me again. It’s great for quick one-off reminders of things I need to do at some specific time and want to make extra-sure I don’t get distracted and forget or miss (like, say, leaving to pick up a kid from somewhere), but also makes it very easy to set customizable repeating reminders (if, say, you want to be reminded of something only on weekdays, only on specific days, or only on specific days of the month). So I also use this to remind me of some things I want to do every day at particular times, some things I need to be reminded to do once a week (like, say, taking the trash and/or recycling bins to the curb), and some things I need to be reminded of once every couple weeks or every month. (It also has Mac and iPad versions, but I only have it on my phone.)”
