Keats-Shelley House

“Tucked against the Spanish Steps is a small museum dedicated to two British poets, Keats and Shelley; both died in Italy. In it, you will find small grand rooms lined with bookcases full of Romantic poetry, and vitrines with curious objects, like Mary Shelley's writing slope, Keats' life and death masks, and a drawing he made of the Grecian urn that inspired the poem. There is also a wisteria-hung balcony with pots of pansies where you can sit by yourself, quiet and serene, elevated above the tourist bustle below.”
