“A truly singular merging of the old and new. The last count of the Querini Stanpalia family left their house, library + collections to the public good in 1869; the space was later reimagined/augmented by Carlo Scarpa. So now you can wander through, admiring Scarpa's geometric flourishes alongside rare old works, like a ancient gem presented in a modern case. Also has a cafe, tempting library, and zine shop, plus an array of invitingly slouchy couches (see photo, ha!) and a exquisite tiny garden with a lovely little fountain.”
