“An underground dance party disguised as a book club. Every event has a different theme (Wayne’s World and Florida Man are 2 of the best sets). Outside Halloween, it’s the closest thing we get to Carnival outside Brazil. This is the party that took “no phones on the dancefloor” mainstream in NYC. My wife and I discovered BCR via the YT algo. Little did we know the founders Jojo and Tinzo were our NEIGHBORS in Williamsburg and half the parties were walking distance from our house. Since then, we’ve become friends with the whole crew and gone to a dozen of these events over the past couple of years. The music is excellent, the vibes are immaculate, and everyone there is nice as pie. They recently started adding the set list to YouTube descriptions, so no need to Shazam from your living room.”
