The Sheep Detectives

“This movie was so delightfully heartfelt. It is funny but also poignant. Reminds me a lot of another fave barnyard animal movie Babe! I thought it was a great family movie, though with kind of heavy themes— but back in the day, weren’t even kid movies kind of heavy? (Hello, Land Before Time??) Delightful performances, especially by Nicholas Braun (who Succession fan’s know well as Cousin Greg) and Emma Thompson who brings incredible wit and delivery even to her rather small but enjoyable role.”

“My nephew said this was “the funniest film ever made.” (Fair warning: you will also cry.)”

“Charming for kids and grown ups (though warning: my 4 year old and 7 year old found moments a bit scary!) Genuinely delightful "family film."”

“Saw this with a friend as a joke but the credits rolled and we were both crying and confused and shouting OK THAT WAS ACTUALLY VERY GOOD!?! Also I will watch any movie if it has quality knitwear and this one certainly does.”

“When I first saw the trailer, I thought, this looks so stupid, oh god talking sheep, what has Hollywood come to, they’re running out of ideas. *Record scratch* cut to me bringing up this movie to anyone in earshot a week after. It’s perfect for when life is heavy and you want something funny and light, while also meaningful. Never thought I’d be tearing up with this one. Plus it’s a whodoneit which is the best!”

“On Amazon prime”

“Also completely thought this movie would be a joke and then it turned out to be exactly what my soul needed?? Perhaps the least cynical thing I’ve ever seen.”

“The cutest movie of the year. A family movie that kids AND adults will equally love that feels like one big giant hug. Highly recommend seeing in theaters if you haven't already!!!”

“Clue vibes but with talking sheep & Hugh Jackman. Cozy set, very clever and touching. The sweetest little winter lamb, stole our hearts. Also Greg from Succession (who we love) is in it. Available to watch on Prime.”
