Lick and Lather

“These sculptural works are chocolate casts of the artist herself in the form of classical busts. Her use of chocolate is odd, but highlights impermanence, juxtaposing the permanent nature we assume busts have. These works are important to my work as I am interested in chocolate as a representative medium of systems of illusionistic control. These works are revolutionary and inspiring, and chocolate as a fine art medium is something that I believe is worth pursuing, even if that work becomes non-archival.”
