“genre : romance score : 1000000/10 tropes : forbidden love, bodyguard, enemies-to-lovers, found family, “we should not work… but we do” fate, separation + long-distance yearning arc i’ll set the scene. a rich girl goes paragliding. gets caught in a random tornado. everyone thinks she died. nope. she literally crash lands into north korea. there she meets a north korean military captain who hides and protects her while trying to get her back home. and obviously… they fall in love. but honestly the side characters are EVERYTHING. such a good found family trope. the soldiers, the village ladies… i love them all so bad. the whole time you’re stressed because how could this possibly end happily??? and somehow they find a way. also this wouldn’t be a kdrama if they didn’t meet before. there’s always that one scene where their like, oh my god. i know them! it’s meant to be. like duhh please watch this show. genuinely my favorite kdrama of all time. on netflix.”

You come for the absurd premise of a South Korean heiress accidentally landing in North Korea, and you stay because every character is so lovable you’ll start worrying about them in the shower. Get through the first episode. It’s the worst one, then it gets insanely good. I’ve rewatched it at least 4x, and I know some of you will say: only 4?!?”
