Call My Agent!

“A French dramedy (?) about the employees of a talent agency in Paris. So fun but not simpleminded or formulaic. A delight!”

“i've become obsessed with this french dramedy series about an entertainment talent agency in paris. the core cast (the agents) remains the same, and there's incredible character development, but each episode follows a different client's debacle, all of whom are actual mega french superstars (isabelle huppert, juliette binoche, etc.). i'm on the final season and already grieving the end. it's on netflix!”

“All-time best!”

“French tv show with amazing actors. This series tells the story of a talent agency specializing in film and how its employees operate. With a 10 percent cut from every contract, we see the competitive spirit, the backstabbing, but also strong friendships—and how work life has become indistinguishable from social life. We also get a behind-the-scenes look at the making of a film, with actors and actresses playing themselves (the cast features a lineup of actors and actresses who are super famous—mainly in France—and who all give superb performances). It’s funny, smart, and well-written (especially in the first few seasons). And you quickly grow attached to all the characters—all of whom are a bit like everyday anti-heroes—and in the end, they’re very human.”

“Yes! Loved this so much”

“I watched all 4 seasons on Kanopy with subtitles but they are streaming elsewhere and a film comes out on Netflix soon. Come on!! I’ve also seen a couple of Laure Calamy’s films. She’s a great actor”
