Mad Wine GirlFirst to rec“Kumquat is nerdy in the best way. Key word obsessive - if you don't appreciate above and beyond coffee then just stick to lala land, you'll be happier there. They source beans from a dozen different roasters worldwide, syrups directly from farms across the US, and garden-direct tea from Asia. It's the kind of intentionality that makes my importer heart sing. They've also launched a sister spot called Loquat in Cypress Park that's all about direct trade and Cup of Excellence-grade coffees. When I say they take sourcing seriously, I mean seriously. Think of it like a wine bar with a killer by-the-glass list from producers you've never heard of but immediately want to know everything about.”
