“The place where I discovered the joy of vinegar pie. Tasty, unfussy dinner options in a friendly, unpretentious room, and in the morning, the attached cafe (Sidecar) has pie slices to go, an assortment of baked treats, and very good fluffy egg sandwiches.”

“Every couple of years it seems this restaurant (and its casual breakfast spot next door) has a bit of an identity crisis; I still miss the OG, Legume, which was white tablecloth and one of the very best meals I’ve ever had (that Chicken Cooked Under a Brick!!). But Butterjoint is very solid. Get the pierogis to be extra Pittsburgh. Vinegar pie is very fun, too.”
