“Café Himalaya is hands-down my favorite restaurant in New York City. It has been a place of comfort for me before I moved here and after I moved here. It has reasonably priced, beautiful, hot, delicious, fresh food. It is also my barometer for people… if you need to go on a date with someone and you want to know whether or not they are a good person, see whether or not they like Café Himalaya! If they don’t like the restaurant, you can safely never go on another date with them again. Nobody that I take here knows that I judge them on whether or not they like the place until afterwards. If someone does not like this place, I usually don’t hang out with them again and it hasn’t steered me wrong since. My favorite things to order are: chili chicken, momo (veg or beef), avocado salad, and PARATHA BREAD!! The paratha bread is truly a blessing.”
