Jennifer“This whole series is about hope! And how to live in the midst of struggle. It’s a very funny and light read (really really enjoyable) but has a lot of depth to it. (Also, as an aside, traditionally a “comedy” is a story that has a “U” shape: the protagonist starts somewhere, is brought low and then rises back up at the end, sometimes even beyond where they started. Might help expand your search into other stories too!)”

Lauren Dancer“I am not an audiobook gal, but these books HIT THE SPOT if you need a soundtrack for a fall walk, a kitchen deep clean, or a bedtime story to fall asleep to. (Though - taking recs for how to find my place in an audio book when I've fallen asleep to it?)”

Emily“Unreasonably perfect series to take down in audio format to soothe your ragged nervous system. Written as the journals of a plucky victorian gal whose fortune has been misspent and she lives in victorian Stars Hollow? Everyone is super witty and charming and absolutely nothing happens and sometimes there is a ghost.”

Laura Dunlap“The most charming series! It’s a little Jane Austen, a little feminist, and quite funny. Emma is so witty, kind, and inspiring. The audiobooks are especially fun to listen to. The first two are just 3 hours - the perfect quick reads. These books are written for book lovers.”
Maura“One of the most enjoyable series I’ve ever read. The heroine is my hero. On Kindle unlimited.”
Shellie Gossling“These are popular for good reason. So charming, endearing and wholesome. The first one is my least favorite so if you can get through it you will be rewarded! I love the literary quotes and funny stories. It has inspired me to write in my journal more, send more snail mail, memorize and read poetry. Enchanté!”
Emily“making my way through the audiobooks and they are lovely. turning chores and menial tasks into a treat!”
