“Robert Lee Morris, Godfather and central inspiration for all of the sculptural organic forms that have replaced ornate feminine design as the dominant jewelry aesthetic. He worked for every huge designer of the 80s/90s but my favorite pieces are from his namesake RLM Studios. This one is so fun because it mimics a charm bracelet, but instead of dainty little objects of personal significance he is offering fat discs of carnelian. It reminds me of the satisfying beauty of seeing post its all over a book marking where you took notes, rather than engaging the notes themselves.”
