“If you want to go inside the mind of a Boomer (which I don’t really recommend) this is probably the best place to start. A very intimate and well-filmed look at the legendary Monterey Pop festival that features some incredible live performances by Neil Young (in an unintentionally hilarious medley), Canned Heat, Simon & Garfunkel, Jefferson Airplane and more. I usually avoid stuff like this because I loathe the boomers, the commodification of Free Love™️ and all that, but viewing this reminds me how every generation has the opportunity to drive change, and only some of us have the backbone and courage to never sell out our beliefs. Kind of inspiring film if you can get past the assumption that 75% of the people in the audience probably voted for Trump twice.”
