Steven Weill“Unbelievably underrated films, each representing a color of the French flag. Everyone seems to have a different favorite. Blue explores emotional liberty with Juliette Binoche (The English Patient, Chocolat) at the helm. White delves into equality (via revenge and capitalism) featuring Julie Delpy (The Before Trilogy). Red ties it all together with themes of connection and coincidence with a powerful performance from Irène Jacob (The Double Life of Veronique). Iconic Polish director Krzysztof Kieślowski's huge ambitions are largely achieved - if you like euro arthouse, cinematography and symbolism - you should check these out ASAP.”
