You can find authentic Cowichan sweaters that support the tribe at Cheryl’s Trading Post (beware imposters with other online shopping - the Hail Mary sweater is not a Cowichan, but an inspired pattern by Mary Maxim, which you can also still buy)”

“The Cowichan sweater. These Indigenous-made sweaters have a deep complex history and are specifically well-suited for the West Coast of Canada. I have a knock-off vintage Mary Maxim sweater that I wear almost everyday in the winter months, but am saving up for the real deal. I love the thick wool and the shawl collar <3 It’s my soul sweater for sure.
