“jeanette winterson’s word economy to emotional heft ratio is undefeated. many poignant reflections on suffering and cycles of trauma but i was most touched by the reflections on love. how loving life is not easy but an act of grit, the hard-to-trust fact that love can be “as reliable as the sun,” being patient with the vicious creature that lives in you and learning to receive love with it. i dog eared the fuck out of this book lol”
