You'll just have to believe me when I say I have never not gotten a compliment on my accent and comprehension in my many conversations avec les francophones since starting out. If your goal is "real", conversational French, this is the way. 100 lessons, one per day, in two phases: First you complete the book going from French to English, then again from English to French. I have learned a few languages before, but my French puts them to shame due to the superiority of the Assimil method. They have books available in other languages as well.”
