“This book explores how technology and recommendation algorithms flattened culture and personal taste, including physical spaces like coffee shops which are looking more and more homogenous across the world. This book changed how I view these spaces and also made me more aware and critical of my relationship to algorithmic feeds. It feels a bit ironic posting this on Rec League, which is yet another algorithmic feed, but one I think is actually trying to celebrate and bring back personal taste.”
