“For $5 a week you too can become Merida from Brave! On Valentine’s Day, my boyfriend and I went to take an introductory archery course at Woodley Park with Coach Wayne. I learned all sorts of terminology and was brutually archery-mogged by a 16 year old in the lane next to me, but I felt welcome nonetheless! The sport is surprisingly meditative, and you fall into an elegant sort of cycle while doing it. Only downside is that due to my elbows’ double-jointedness (which I only learned of that day) I obtained a few bruises on the inside of my bow arm when the string would snap back post-release. But I would highly recommend going to check it out at least once, and if you like it and want to go back, it’s only 5 bucks!”
