Weck Jars

“Made in Germany since 1900, these jars make it easy to do package-free shopping at my local RE_Grocery Store.”

“superior food storage”

“Easy to scrape the sides when the starter creeps up. Also delightful aesthetic on the counter. Don’t clamp it closed, but do keep the lid on loosely.”

“I took a long, hard look at myself and decided: no more aspirational spice purchases! Instead, I'm going to maintain a lean, mean, compact spice system that's totally doable thanks to Gneiss Spice and Re Grocery Store, both of which sell zero-waste, organic spice refills in different sizes. And, as it turns out, Weck jars, with all the stackable options, solve the problem of having a bunch of spices in different amounts. (Note: mini molds with clips fit perfectly on top of the jars with a 3 1/8" lid.) Weck has been making the same glass jars in Germany for more than a century.”

“ironically, I bought these after seeing them in a de-influencing video (sorry 😬) but I use them so much. I use big ones to store sugar and ground coffee, the medium ones for canning or storage (canned tomatoes, jams/jellies, prepped beans or pickled things in the fridge), and the small ones for matcha or coffee. there is something so satisfying about a row of these on a shelf in your fridge or pantry.”

“Universally useful, especially the wide mouth ones. Iced lattes, pickled onions, overnight oats, mini flower vase, and so much more”

“I use these for fruits, cut vegetables, leftover soups, so many things. I just plop the lid on without the clip fasteners. Occasionally it’s used as an iced coffee glass.”

“Love these for everything - iced coffee, pickling veggies, soup.”
