“Did you know you can volunteer to monitor horseshoe crabs in NYC?! Signups for this year are closed, but you can still head to the beach when they are doing their thing and learn more about these amazing creatures - including the proper way to hold them (never by the tail, it hurts them!). The first year we went, one of my kiddos said, "We have so much wildlife in New York! Pigeons everywhere, horseshoe crabs at the beach, rats in the subway."”
